Hi! I'm Michelle. Owner and operator of Michelle Reid Bridal Hair, servicing Southeastern Ontario, from Ottawa to Kingston to Prince Edward County and everywhere in between.
I specialize in creating bridal hairstyles that enhance your natural beauty for your wedding day. I love creating modern bridal looks, helping my brides feel beautiful and confident for their big day. Best of all, I travel to you! Clip in extensions (client provides) +$20
Travel fee $50+
*there is a minimum fee of $300 plus travel fee. Travel fee starts at $50 up to 60km, with an additional .75/km beyond 60km.
*bridal parties of more than 7 people or larger parties where time is limited may be required to bring in a second stylist at a fee of $200

Should I find inspiration photos?Yes! Inspiration photos are encouraged! It will help me to get an idea of the look or vibe you're going for, as well as what you like and don't like about certain styles. It will also help to set realistic expectations of what your bridal hair outcome will be. Inspiration photos are helpful for both you, the bride, as well as your bridal party on the day of the wedding.

Is there anything I can do to prep my hair for the day of the wedding?Yes! It is strongly recommended for you, the bride, your bridal party, or anyone else having their hair done, to have clean and blow dried hair. Wash and blow dried hair the day before the wedding is ideal. This helps me to start from the best canvas possible, allowing for optimal styling.

Does it matter what I wear while having my hair done on the day of the wedding?It is recommended to wear a shirt that is easily removed so not to disturb your hair. For example, a light weight button down shirt or something with a very wide neck that can be easily lifted over the head. Button down pajama style shirts are very popular- but please be mindful of the collar! Some collars are very stiff and tend to rub along the back hairline, disturbing the style.

Should I make a schedule for the wedding day?Yes! A schedule helps everything run smoothly and keeps everyone on time. Time is of the essence on the wedding day, and with all of the excitement, it's easy to lose track! Bridal parties or attendees who are having their hair done should be at the getting ready location with plenty of time to spare to help everything move along smoothly.

What happens at the bridal trial?Your bridal trial appointment will consist of us sitting down together to look at inspiration photos to come up with a plan for your bespoke style. Once the style is complete, we can discuss any changes you'd like to make, and take some photos for you to revisit after your appointment. Bridal trials are an additional charge. Though bridal trials are optional, they are highly recommended!

How do I secure my date?Please fill out the "Request a Quote" form with the necessary information to fill an inquiry, and we will get the ball rolling from there!

How is the travel fee calculated?The base price of the travel fee is $50 up to 60km from my location, Smiths Falls, ON. An additional 75 cents per km is added to the base travel fee after 60km.

How do I add a new question & answer?To add a new FAQ follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Add a new question & answer 3. Assign your FAQ to a category 4. Save and publish. You can always come back and edit your FAQs.

Where can I add my FAQs?FAQs can be added to any page on your site or to your Wix mobile app, giving access to members on the go.

Can I insert an image, video, or GIF in my FAQ?Yes. To add media follow these steps: 1. Manage FAQs from your site dashboard or in the Editor 2. Create a new FAQ or edit an existing one 3. From the answer text box click on the video, image or GIF icon 4. Add media from your library and save.

How do I edit or remove the 'Frequently Asked Questions' title?You can edit the title from the FAQ 'Settings' tab in the Editor. To remove the title from your mobile app go to the 'Site & App' tab in your Owner's app and customize.
